!PERMANENT!!! Forward Steps!, Cigarettes, Homeostasis Alkaline vs. Acid

What a month May was! And... What a month June is going to be!!! I flew 14 hours from Australia back to California. As soon as I hit the ground, ADRENALIN r.u.s.h.e.d into my bloodstream. My being was burning with FIRE to accomplish many things. From being in Australia, my body had become used to sleeping during the hours that are daytime in California. I ended up sleeping 3 - 4 hours a day, while working away. I discovered that my only 'hope' was to Juice Fast... And... What a life saver that was! I only drank a couple of juices each day, as my body went through hard labor, organising things at the warehouse. The juice fast enabled my body to complete the 'miraculous' as it balanced out into California rhythms. What on earth was I doing???

We have a very high-class 'all-round' growing business building here. I decided to take it to the NEXT LEVEL... For the entire last week I DOVE head first into the shipping department and dramatically restructured it. I wanted to see how everything has been working there, for myself. I probably packed half of all of your packages this last week. If you got a note from me... YEP... That was really me! One of the most rewarding experiences that I have is when I see someone improve their diet to where they experience immense healing and regeneration. The most painful thing for me to witness is when someone does this and then goes back to eating the same diet they ate before.

Not only do these people end up back in the same postion they were in before, but... their situation ends up even worse. You reach a New 'Plateau' when you improve your diet for a
lengthy amount of time and all those old foods that you used to eat will then affect your body in a more adverse way.

For example, a really close person to me used to eat a lot of fast food on the Standard American Diet. He improved his diet and was eating Dr. Fred Bisci's Intermediate Wholefood Healing Diet. He lost 50 pounds within a year and was healing on all levels. As time went by, his good habits started to diminish. He gained almost all the weight back... AND!... THE CRAZY THING ABOUT IT ALL, his diet wasn't as bad as it used to be. Hmmmm?

Another example: I had this really good friend who was inspired by my way of living. They improved their diet, started drinking vegetable juices, quit smoking cigarettes, marijuana, and drinking alcohol. Additionally, they got a handful of those MIGHTY POWERFUL Colonic Irrigations! They felt amazing, slept better, and had tons of energy. As the months went by and the stress built in their life, they went back in the other direction and picked up some of these old habits. It seems to me that they are perpetually sick now, as the body tries to 'fight back' and protest, while adapting to accepting the harm from their old ways.

PERMANENT FORWARD STEPS... PLEASE!!! A lot of people move forward and then back and they get confused and scared about what is happening to them. The more times you yo-yo like this, the bigger the issues will become. A lot of people email me asking if Agave Nectar is ok, or, Lara Bars, or Whole Grains. These types of people have generally improved their diet TREMENDOUSLY
and are 85 - 99% raw. They have made HUGE Forward Steps. Congratulations!!! Have fun! Party it up! You have MIRACULOUSLY improved your diet and your process of 'becoming younger' will last anywhere from four to fifteen years. As the years go by, if you are consistent, then you will most likely drop certain foods that you feel are not ideal to you. Let's just move forward from here. ;-)

I feel that most people can't just flick the cigarette in anger and quit. The physiological addiction, combined with the emotional attachment will most likely result in picking it up again. My advice is to be very meditative about it. Watch the process of smoking with deep awareness. Inhale... Feel the smoke go into your
lungs. Exhale, and watch it leave. Keep watching and watching. Meditate on the process. If you do this with complete awareness, one day you will realize how 'idiotic' and unnecessary it is to do this to your body. You won't flick the cigarette away in anger this time... It will just DROP from your fingers, as realization
occurs.

Yes! there is a lot of confusion about the 'Alkaline vs. Acid' concept. It is not the alkaline foods that raise the ph of our blood, it is our bodies that do it. Our bodies are quite amazing! They strive for ultimate health ALWAYS, no matter what we do to them. 'Homeostasis' is the process that the body does to restore balance among our systems, to maintain ultimate health. The better we treat our bodies, the easier job they have to maintain this optimal healthy
balance, which results in a longer life, more health and vigor.

There are many more, but the four most common balancing processes of
homeostasis are:


- The PH of the blood (Acid vs. Alkaline, about 7.4 is normal)
- The amount of glucose in the blood (insulin helps maintain glucose levels, glucose level should be about .1%)
- Blood Pressure (about 120/80 mm Hg norm)
- Body Temperature (about 98.6% norm)

In all the homeostasis processes, the body is always striving to keep itself as close to that norm as possible, no matter what you do to it. It is not 'alkaline' foods that raise the ph of our system. It is the body that does it. When you eat healthier 'alkaline' foods it makes it easier for the body to get to the normal ph range, which will provide health, vigor, and increased efficiency of our healing cycles. If you are eating foods that cause an 'acidic' condition, such as foods from the Standard American Diet, the body will work extra hard to try to reach that normal ph range, which could result in an unhealthy state of exhaustion, as the body's cells don't work at their optimal level. When you are out of these normal ranges consistently, there is a great chance that disease will happen.

For example, if you are eating masses and masses of fruit each day, with very little exercise, your glucose levels in the blood can sky-rocket and the body will secrete excess insulin to
deal with it. If you do this consistently, then you will have an excess of insulin floating in the blood. This can result in hyperinsulinism, which can lead to further problems if continued.

I feel that nothing compares to a green vegetable juice to aid the body in reaching a more alkaline state. AND of course... Nothing else compares to colon hydrotherapy to
assist the body in reaching optimal health. Fresh air, sunshine, plenty of sleep, exercise and not eating late at night are also major factors that aid or hinder the body in reaching that optimal
balance.

Okay here goes, please bare with me. I have been 100% raw for 3 years. I have started out weighing 220, now I'm down to a healthy muscular toned, 175, which was my goal weight. My body has changed. daily, Lymphatic massage, Workout with weights, Jog 30 minutes daily, Watched Fat intake, didnt make a diff, Added blood cleansing foods, fresh turmeric root, burdock, anything good for the skin in my green smoothies, you name it I tried it, and still do it, Consumed pounds of aloe gel fresh from the leaves to cleanse the liver ( to boost immunity etc), Hot cold-showers-,
Distilled water, Prill water, Lemon water, ozonated oil on my face, nothing on my face, acv on my face, oil cleansing method, steam facials..., used a zapper, parasite cleansed, Shower filter
on shower making sure water is not causing any issue, msm, vit c from whole food sources
I dont consume much dehydrated foods... doesnt make a diff with me, Energy healing, etc haha...

You name it I tried it, and still, Im having this issue. I dont even like to tell people Im raw, which kills me, because my face is the first thing they see, with these red marks that never
leave, and outbreaks. So with your plethora of knowledge hopefully you can offer some guidance? I mean reading that list, doesn't really do justice all the things I have tried. Not just to clear my skin, but to become healthy overall, and I feel I have except for this last lingering crisis?

So the lymph, I know empties out in the colon, I think, so maybe I still have some issues there. I have movements 3 times a day though, I'm not backed up. I have done tons of cleanses down there. So I don't know. My money is running out, so is my patience and will. But i feel soooo close to my goal...

I have read you are a supporter of enemas, etc which I have never tried. My intuition tells me this is where the problem might be... I saw in your newsletter you have some really good products, I would be willing to try anything one last time....to get me over this crisis that wont seem to leave. I have lost all my weight, my body is toned and strong muscular, I thought these issues might be done by now, but alas, here I am.... So any thoughts? recommendations?

Davy and I have been going back and forth on email with this situation. All disease is the same. It is just waste trying to leave the body. In this case, it is leaving through his face. If the 100% Raw Food Diet is so great, then why
is he experiencing this after 3 years??? Many say that you have an initial detoxification, but once that is over you are fine. He did a 30 day fast! Wouldn't that speed up this initial detoxification period??? Fasting is a crisis causing situation. More deep, detoxifying cellular gaseous waste is just added to the system. Even if you are going three times a day, like Davy is, you need to get the gases out and this can be done through colon hydrotherapy. If you know what you are doing you can get to these gases with a 4 or 6qt enema bag, or a colema
board
. However, I recommend getting a colonic, as you will definitely get to the gases that way. This seeker had done EVERYTHING else under the sun! Colon Hydrotherapy is KEY in succeeding on the 100% Raw Food Diet, for modern humans.
Davy is in such a GREAT position! He has successfully been on a 100% Raw Food Diet for three years. He just has to cleanse the colon periodically and he will experience much more BLISS and HEALING , as his body evolves into a more in-tune receptive machine to spiritual energy. I suspect he has no idea quite what is in store for him if he does this...
It took me a while to convince Davy to do colon hydrotherapy 3 - 4 times a month JUST for the
initial three months, but he finally got his first session. He reported that his colon therapist was ABSOLUTELY DUMBFOUNDED at the amounts of waste that came out of him! Most people would think that a 100% Raw Food eater would have less waste coming out during a session compared to a cooked food eater. However, every colon therapist that I have asked state it is the complete opposite. Keep in mind that if you do colon hydrotherapy you will become much leaner, much faster and you will become more sensitive to all the harmful foods that you used to eat.
So... It's all about !PERMANENT!!! Forward Steps and Colon Hydrotherapy. ;-)

The Vicious Cycle, Colonic Dependency, & the Blood Gas Theory – Popular Blog Post

OOOHHHHH WOW! I just arrived at HOME sweet HOME. I have been gone for an entire 6 months and I haven't seen any of my family that whole time. You know when this happens, you can sense the changes a person goes through because you haven't seen them for so long? Well I haven't seen my mom in 6 months and she started Dr. Fred Bisci's whole food intermediate diet a couple of years ago. From the 1.5 year mark to the 2 year mark on this diet, I could sense she is STILL BECOMING YOUNGER. It's amazing how good her skin looks and how it fits on her face. It is like a Barbie Doll. As Ironic as it sounds, the older you start a healthier diet, the longer your 'becoming younger' process lasts. I have a feeling that she will become younger for another decade. My book Raw Success goes into depth on why the 'becoming younger' process lasts longer for someone who starts later in life.

So I'm thinking the blood gases have something, a lot, to do with it. I can feel the pressure build up in my eyes, in my fingers, etc. and I'm wondering what your suggestions might be for a low-gas-pressure food program are, beside 'just eat raw'. cuz that ain't cutting it for me. My history and tendencies make it so I am not reaching my goals, even when I am raw. I am not in optimal health, I am tired as heck, adrenally challenged, hair falling out, pealing nails (getting better), achy joints, etc. did I mention exhausted?
and the way I eat I should be super woman by the way every book describes.
It just isn't the case!

and to be totally girlie on you here, I just want to feel good and look good and wear cute/sexy clothes matt.

There is a basic pattern that happens in the body. I feel that you are dancing ALL AROUND IT. People who cleanse their colon as often as you are much cleaner on a cellular level. They are more sensitive, and they can sense this pattern much more acutely.



Each person is different and different amounts of food are required by each person. When you eat food, it stops the detoxification. If you eat more than you need, excess gas will be produced by the excess food that you don't need and it can result in a bloated stomach. If you systematically undereat, you are providing less obstruction, so you 'stop' the detox less and you can feel great... HOWEVER... at some point, if you are consistently systematically undereating, your body will gain enough vitality and it will start to detoxify deeper on a cellular level and release more gas. You see this??? This is what most likely has been happening to you. You start eating your "perfect diet", your stomach flattens out, and you feel great for a few days or weeks. And then… You start to detoxify on a cellular level because you were doing so GREAT. Your body now wants to go to the next level. The problem is, when you reach this point, the gas is nasty old concentrated stuff, which smells really badly, is acidic and makes you feel horrible. So what seems to be happening is you get upset, thinking there is nothing you can do, and you go the complete other direction. When you go the other direction and overeat again, you actually may feel good at first because you stop the detoxification of this really old nasty stuff, you get stimulated by the food, and your body at that point still isn't so obstructed by excess food from daily continual overeating. Therefore, at first you can handle this excess food. Then as time goes on, you are in this 'daily overeating phase' and there is too much food to deal with, causing excess gas & weight gain and you are back in the other direction. And then you start over again and eat that 'perfect' diet. You feel great because you are detoxing all that excess food that you abused your self with and you are not yet detoxifying deep on a cellular level where that highly concentrated waste is held. Then the process happens over and over again.

This pattern is quite typical amongst many Raw Food Eaters... especially the Newbies. In the beginning of eating a Raw Diet (one - ten years), this cycle is completely OK if you are not also yo-yoing back and forth with cooked food. The goal is to get to that systematic undereating diet and stay there, consistently, forever more. When you reach that point of detoxing concentrated endogenous material, it can feel quite rough. There are certain things you can do to keep the gas down, but as I have said before, being raw is like going on a life-long fast, and this detoxification will be ongoing, with "ups and downs" for the rest of your life. Additionally, the body is always breaking down and rebuilding cells and tissues. Cells that have served their purpose and died are discarded into the colon. Dr. Norman Walker says, "These cells and tissues are dead proteins of a highly toxic nature if allowed to ferment and putrefy." There is no avoiding these things.

In my STRONG opinion, it is ok to cleanse the colon as much as you are without harmful effects, however, you don't have to cleanse the colon that often. People are addicted to feeling really good, so some pick up this habit of continual colon hydrotherapy. Some of the old timers from the Wigmore Institute told me that Ann Wigmore did two enemas EVERY DAY. I think that is a bit excessive, however, it was reported that this little woman also had more vibrant energy than anyone else in the center.

I agree with you 100% that cleansing the colon this often is unnecessary. However, I believe there is a misunderstanding here with why some people think they can't go to the bathroom on their own.

When you eat food, the processing of that food will create gaseous by-products which are obstructive to the body. When you eat a consistent diet - i.e. eating the same kinds and quantities of food each day - you are creating about the same amount of gas obstruction each day, which regulates how much you internally detoxify on a cellular level through the process of gas diffusion (for a deeper understanding of this process, read the 'Blood Gas Theory' article HERE). When you do colon hydrotherapy, you literally pull out a MASS of the gaseous obstruction from your body. It is like 'cheating the process', because for a brief amount of time you create an environment that is actually cleaner than your current diet (before you start to eat again).

So... When someone cleanses their colon this often, they are CONTINUALLY creating an environment that takes their body to a level of cleanliness above and beyond their current diet. They keep pulling out all of these gases, which allows their cells to shrink more and more. Unless they stop cleansing the colon this frequently, the obstructive gas produced from their current diet will be an excess that feels very uncomfortable and will cause bloating, because there is not as much room in their cells anymore for these gases. The other option they have is to improve their diet by eating less food, which creates less obstructive gas.

Some people can be thought of as 'colonic bulimics' in that they eat excess food and then they 'make up for it' by doing colon hydrotherapy. This can become a problem ESPECIALLY if you are yo-yoing back and forth between a raw diet and cooked food diet. You become so clean when you cleanse the colon often while eating a Raw Food Diet that those cooked foods will become more and more damaging to you, which can result in a lack of absorption, hair loss, Candida and much more.

Also keep in mind that if you are undereating you will detoxify that OLD concentrated gas stored in the cells. This is why eating daily consistent meals is important in avoiding excess gas. Additionally, Raw foods are very powerful and should be chewed well.

Dr. St. Louis Estes writes:

ALL FOODS will cause gas unless they are thoroughly masticated. If the food is swallowed in chunks the stomach is absolutely incapable of dissolving that food so that more than a meager percentage of it can be absorbed. The result is that the undigested chunks of food lie inert and heavy, and fermentation shortly begins, followed thereafter by flatulence and discomfort and frequently intense pain.

The GREATEST CARE should be exercised by those living or contemplating living on a diet of RAW FOODS. Because of their highly nutritious properties and the fact that they are eaten in their natural state, with none of the minerals lost, the raw foods have enormous power and are capable of causing great digestive disturbance unless they are thoroughly ground to a creamy consistency with the teeth.

It's not a matter of losing your ability to have a bowel movement. Most people after they get a colonic, don't have a solid bowel movement for 48 hours, which is completely normal. They just pulled ALL the waste out of their 6 foot colon! After 48 hours, they should be completely regular again. It seems that this colon therapist Jason mentioned doesn't wait until the 48 hour mark before she cleanses the colon again. She just does it everyday. I am assuming that if and when she waits 48 - 72 hours, she will have a bowel movement but the gas is "unbearable" to her she doesn't want to wait. It is the excess gases that bombard the clean system that could be considered the 'real issue' here, rather than a lack of bowel movements. Additionally, people who cleanse their colon frequently generally experience a lot of fear about the elimination process, which in turn will create even more gases from the stress produced via the adrenal glands.

This entire 'destroying beneficial bacteria' concept is a complete falsehood and Dr. Norman Walker & Ann Wigmore COMPLETELY agreed on this. There are estimated to be 100 Trillion cells in the body. There are ten times that many bacteria in the colon. Walker & Wigmore both state that when you cleanse the colon you create the optimal clean environment for these beneficial critters to flourish. I feel that you don't need anything to help replenish the bacteria... however... the following suggestions are GREAT! Dr. Norman Walker says if you drink a glass of carrot-spinach juice that the bacteria will be replenished... AND... You can certainly take probiotics to help with this too.

The Need For More!...

In 1997 I was president of ZBT Fraternity at California State University Northridge. I had a beautiful blonde Sorority girlfriend and was considered the 'BMOC' (Big Man On Campus) by many. As many of you know I tend to go outside the norm with my outlandish ways, which can sometime result in controversy. I was always the 'chief' with my friends and lead us through various 'heart-palpitating' adventures during our early years, veering dramatically away from any standard 'rules' of society along the way. Towards the end of my presidency, an extreme flip occurred in my life...


The IFC (Intra Fraternal Council) was always on my back. Toward the end of my Presidency they finally had enough 'evidence' on me to present a case to the alumni advisors of my Fraternity. To make a long story short, with only a month left, I had to step down as President. Shortly after that, I was dumped by my girlfriend who later started living with an older, balding, out-of-shape alumni from my fraternity.

At the time I didn't see this objectively, as an espisode of drama going on in my life. I was blinded by extreme pain and lack of awareness. I missed the fact that this seemingly really harsh event in my life actually sparked a hugely beneficial subconscious search to 'find myself'. Trying to 'prove myself' to the world, I hit the working world searching for the 'hippest' job that I could get my hands on. I ended up at MTV Networks in Santa Monica. Still searching, after two years of working at MTV, I requested to transfer to the NY office. I was still subconsciously unsatisfied and had a feeling of being lost while working two more years in the NY office... AND THEN... someone handed me a book...

Yep! You guessed it! The book was 'Become Younger', by Dr. Norman Walker!

This book contained example after example of people healing from degenerative diseases and acquiring massive amounts of energy by doing three simple things...

1. Eating a 100% Raw Food Diet
2. Drinking a Variety of Vegetable Juices Daily
3. Cleansing the Colon Periodically


This was it! I knew that I'd found what I was looking for! Before I go into the rest of the story, I must say that all three of these points are CRUCIAL. I feel that if you leave *O*N*E* out, then you will not fully experience the amazing benefits mentioned below.

At this point before I went raw, I felt like I needed something more in my life. I didn't know what it was. When I discovered the 100% Raw Food Diet, I knew WHOLE-HEARTEDLY that this was what I was looking for. I didn't have any health issues, yet I knew something was going to happen if I pursued this way of life. The path shouted 'truth', coming my way… AND… Was I surprised!... Oh boy! Was I surprised!...

I started to live my life by the three core principles above. The big transformation wasn't the experience of being completely mucus free for the first time in my life, or the extreme heightening of my five senses. It was something much more profound. My 'finely tuned' intuition guided me to Gil Jacobs ('Chakra 17' Master Colon Therapist) and later to Dr. Fred Bisci.

After six months eating an 'extreme' Raw Diet, Gil sensed that there was no stopping me. He introduced the psyllium & bentonite cleanse, to finish off the cleansing of my small intestines of all mucoid plaque. I talk about this cleanse in my book Raw Spirit and in this blog HERE.

For the first time in my life I experienced what it was like to feel like an 'energy being'. A continual 'hollow-energetic-vibratory-like' pressure in my frontal sinus cavity blisses me out, as energy emanates through my heart space shivering throughout my entire body as I have unearthly experiences, over and over again. Of course, I am still searching on this life-long journey, but I feel like I have learned more about life in the last five years than the entire rest of my life. I found myself!

I'll emphasise the point again: all three of the following core principles, in my opinion, are crucial in succeeding on this type of lifestyle in the short & long-run:
