Custard a la Cronenberg. Awesome stuff, thanks for letting me try it.

Regarding Andy's question "Is there anything else that's creamy like that?" -BREADFRUIT! So, I'm not sure if it's "legal" to eat breadfruit raw, because EVERYONE I asked told me "breadfruit can't be eaten raw", but I was always wanting to try. So this year on Passover I finally found breadfruit at my local middle eastern market ("ZZ's produce" in Ann Arbor, MI) and got a REALLY ripe one, and on the inside there were parts of it that were totally creamy and rich (like 2-3 times richer than a durian at least!). It's still nowhere near as yummy as durian, but just wanted to comment about it because it is WAY creamier/richer.

I have never tried Durian yet.
Can not wait till I make a trip to get some.
About 2 1/2 hours for the closest place for me.

Need some raw buddies who are willing to share like you.

Wow! I can't wait to taste my first Durian. I shop at Fubonn all the time for their wonderful young coconuts that were priced at 88 cents for almost a year...I saw in the your last videoblog that the cost is now 1.29...still half the price of anywhere else I've seen them in town. And now I know what those space porcupines in plastic mesh are...to think I will soon ingest one!
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night at your Raw Transformation gathering!

Did you guys know that you could get rid of the smell of durian from your hands just by washing the seeds with water? Simply save some of the the Seed pods and place them above your fingers and between a running tap of water, after washing you will notice that your hands does not smell of durians anymore.

Theres another amazing thing that you could do with the shell of the durian... after eating your durians, save a shell section (preferably a section which has a deep cavity. sprinkle some salt and pour some water and mix it in the cavity of the shell. Drink it up. It will help reduce the smell of durian aftertaste in your mouth as well as to help clear your throat and it won't feel raspy after you've eaten too much durians..
